Dance Classes

> Classical Ballet [RAD]

Taught by Miss Eliza Haeusler R.A.D with many years of experience focusing on three elements:

Classical: Barre & centre practice, Adage [slow movement developing strength], Allegro - jumps, focus on posture, control, strength & quality of movement.

Free Movement: Development of elements of classical technique done in parallel to allow the freedom of the movement prior to being performed in turned out position, focus on music, light & shade, style & performance.

Character: stylised exercises set to Russian, Polish etc, performing simplified exercises to develop rhythm, ability to syncopate movement and time signatures, focus on style and musicality as well as technique.

Ballet classes are strict and require hard work and determination.

> Tap [TAPATAK OZ]

Tapping appreciates music and with music comes rhythm, sounds and beats all explored by the aspiring Tap Dogs.

'Nadine's Academy Of Dance' is proud to use the 'Tapatak Oz' syllabus. This new, Australian syllabus created by Christine Denny, is the perfect for those who want to learn how to tap, New York style. This syllabus is the best way to learn the style that is employable in theatre and the industry. Its cool, fun and is popular with every age from 3 years to Adult.

>Dance 101

The perfect class to learn all the technical requirements of dance, utilising ballet, jazz, pilates and core training. This class promotes 'safe' dance technique and not only educates the students to the correct technique, but also builds the child's confidence as they gain the ability to execute moves with complete precision.

> Hip Hop

Coming out of the Bronx, Hip Hop is a street dance style that has evolved into it's own culture. Learn breaking, popping, krumping and freestyle and have heaps of fun doing it.

>Lyrical

This style of dance is very fluid and technical, enforcing strength and flexibility. Lyrical allows the student to express themselves through dance without any boundaries, as it fuses perfectly the technique in Ballet and Jazz.

> Jazz

Taught from 3yrs to senior professional level, this form of art is an excellent way to experience and enjoy dance at any age.

Highly experienced teachers conduct all jazz classes. Our choreographers are carefully selected and work on our competition and concert work. All the Jazz staff are all professional dancers of many credits.

Every dancer at Nadine's Academy is encouraged to participate in at least one jazz class per week.

> Singing / Glee

It is important that all our students are well rounded performers. We offer a range of subjects that will allow each student to find their 'niche' in the performing arts. These classes are fantastic at building children's confidence, whether or not they wish to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

> Tiny Tots

Tiny Tots is a great introduction into dance and music. Our classes teach young children the basics in movement and rhythm and give them great sense of achievement and confidence.

> Babies Ballet

Give your child a great head start with our Babies Ballet classes, designed to encourage posture, balance and rhythm from an early age.

> Adults Beginners

A great way to have fun, meet new people, get into shape and keep up with the kids.

> Adults Performance

Show that you've got what it takes and have a go at this exciting performance class. You might have more fun than you dreamed.
